Aviva Premiership Rugby is back at the Rec this Friday as Bath Rugby take on Northampton Saints, kick-off 19.45.
Here’s our handy guide to help you make the most of your evening at the Rec;
Happy Hour will be running as usual between 17:45 and 18:45 where there will be £1 off pints of Bath Ales Gem and Thatchers Gold at all bars. The Great Western Wine bar in the Swift Half will also have selected promotions.
The Club Shop on Argyle Street and the Mobile Shop in the Supporters’ Village in the West car park will be fully stocked with the latest Bath Rugby merchandise. Take advantage of 15% off selected Bath Rugby trainingwear items and 30% off European Shirts, but be quick as these offers are only available for a limited time only.
The Club will also pay its respects to the South African rugby legend, Joost Van Der Westhuizen who sadly passed away last Sunday following a long fight against motor neuron disease. To celebrate his life and a magnificent rugby career, a minutes applause will take place ahead of kick-off.
HALF-TIME: BATH ALES KICKING CHALLENGE
Fancy taking part in this Friday’s half-time challenge? Official Partners, Bath Ales are bringing back their kicking challenge, where a crate of Gem is up for grabs for the winner with the most accurate boot! To apply, please email email@example.com. You must have a valid match ticket for the game.
FOOD AND BARS
We have the usual array of food and bars available to tickle your tastebuds, including AC Catering, who will have supporters favourite, the ‘Banahan Wrap’, on sale, as well as Dough Pizza, Cau, Get Battered Fish & Chips, Pieminster and Grillstock BBQ.
We are delighted to be trialling a new pre-order and fast-track collection service in the Swift Half from Friday 10th February. Available on Apple and Android devices, the “Bath Rugby Bars” App can be used to pay for beers, soft drinks and crisps ahead of the game and then collected from the Swift Half. Orders can be placed in advance or on arrival at the Rec.
There will be a special pre-order collection point at one end of the bar space in the Swift Half. The service will operate pre-match and at half-time.
We’re going to be trialling this service over the next few home games as part of our commitment to enhancing the supporter experience and digital engagement at the Rec. We’re hopeful that a successful trial will result in a roll-out across more bars in the ground in the near future.
To access the app, simply search “Bath Rugby Bars” in the relevant store for your device, download it, register your details and fast-track your order.
A reminder also that contactless payment for credit and debit cards is now available at almost all outlets at the Rec, and we also accept Apple Pay.
Supporters are encouraged to use the excellent public transport links in and out of the city where possible. Bath Spa train station is a short 10 minute walk away from the Rec and three Park & Ride services operate seven days a week.
Bath Rugby and Centurion Travel also offer supporters a hassle-free and affordable coach travel to the Rec from surrounding local areas. To book, or view the timetable, please visit, http://www.bathrugbytransport.co.uk.
If you’re a keen cyclist, free and secure parking spaces for bikes are offered at the Rec just next to the Pavilion.
