Bath Rugby has hit a record number of attendees for an all-girls Summer Residential Camp taking place this month!
An outstanding total of 53 girls have signed up to take part in Bath Rugby’s all-girls Residential Camp at Warminster School, where they will participate in the ultimate three-day, rugby coaching experience.
Aimed at developing the girls to become better rugby players, as well as improving their skills off the pitch, the success of this year’s camp is highlighted by the growth of participation.
With 53 girls registered for this year’s Camp, participation has grown by over 231% from 2021!
Grassroots Manager, Lewis Palmer, said that the grassroots team at Bath Rugby are looking forward to working with several new faces as well as welcoming back some girls that they have worked with across previous participation and performance hubs.
''Since our pledge to the women and girls' game at the beginning of the season, the Club and our grassroots team have committed to giving girls the opportunity to participate and get involved in rugby across Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire.
"One of our long-standing experiences for girls has been our world-class residential camps hosted at Warminster School. However, since increasing our presence, exposure and commitment to the girls’ game we have seen massive uptake in our numbers."
