Bath Rugby are offering two exciting opportunities to join an established programme as the Club strives to produce an industry leading player pathway and to build a squad comprising of 50% home grown players by 2023.
The two roles currently available within the Academy at Bath Rugby are for one full-time Pathway Coach and one full-time Strength and Conditioning Coach to contribute to the long-term success of our player pathway.
Following a period of strategic development and investment into our future, and more recently after a successful 2018/19 season for the Academy in terms of both player development and coach development outcomes, these additions to the department will support the club to maximise the impact of player development activity for academy players in our region and to see more passionate young men emerge as Premiership players with Bath Rugby.
The Academy Pathway Coach will support player development at a variety of levels, with direct coaching responsibility for the Academy U15 and U16 age groups. They will work across the region with key stakeholders to grow partnerships and relationships, in order to optimally support those players who are developing within the academy programme.
This role is suited to a highly skilled and motivated, development-driven coach, who has demonstrable knowledge and skills in player development and/or teaching and learning.
The Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach will be positioned to support the athletic development of players within the pathway, with a specific focus upon the support of players within the academy programme and within partnerships. Working with U15 to U18 age groups and with identified players within them, the academy strength and conditioning coach will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that developmentally appropriate approaches are taken towards athletic development and that the best possible opportunities are provided to support the development of academy players in the region.
