Bath Rugby Academy duo Archie Maggs and Frankie Read will earn runouts with Coventry Rugby this weekend in the Championship.
Both have been included on the Coventry bench as the West Midlands outfit host last season’s champions Ealing Trailfinders at Butts Park Arena.
If he comes on, prop Maggs will make his Championship debut whereas back row Read has featured twice already for Coventry this term.
Last weekend in their win over Ampthill, he had some positive moments in attack and was effective with his support play in the final quarter.
Elsewhere in Round 3, John Stewart and Nahum Merigan both played for Hartpury University RFC against Ealing.
Hooker Stewart, who scored midweek in the Premiership Rugby Cup, was solid defensively, most notably turning the ball over via a strong jackal, thwarting a promising Trailfinders attack.
Number 8 Merigan, another to start on Wednesday night, managed to generate some good momentum from a number of ball carries, helping to get Hartpury on the front foot.
