Gabe Goss has linked up with England Sevens at training camp as they prepare for the return of the World Series this month.
The Senior Academy wing has devastating pace and has the opportunity to accelerate his development in a national environment.
He will compete for a place in Tony Roques’ squad as they prepare for tournaments in Malaga, Seville, Vancouver and Los Angeles over the next two months.
Academy Manager Craig Lilley believes experiencing Sevens will enhance Goss’ all-round game for when he returns for Premiership Rugby Cup action in March.
“We have welcomed this opportunity for Gabe and made an agreement with the RFU that he could go,” he said.
“He has a point of difference with his speed and ability to beat people. We want him to go to an environment where can continue to work on those facets of his game as well as develop his catch-pass, aerial skills and breakdown work.
“We see it as an important stage of Gabe’s development to go away and expose himself to something new and exciting.
"He is buzzing and excited about the chance of being part of something he hasn’t much experience in. He wants to make the most of the experience, learn the game and develop his skillset before returning to Bath Rugby.”
