Fresh from their 92-0 defeat of the Royal Navy last month, Bath United return to the Rec tonight to face a Somerset County XV, kick-off 19.30.
The Aviva A League champions’ line-up has a distinctly youthful flavour. The pack shows only two changes to the one that took on the Navy, with Freddie Clarke coming in at blindside and Tom Ellis at second row.
The front row of Jake Caulfield, Tom Woolstencroft and Captain Kane Palma-Newport is bolstered by the England U20s pairing of Ellis and Charlie Ewels in the second row. Openside Max Northcote-Green (scorer of a hat-trick last time out) partners number eight Mat Gilbert and Clarke in the back row.
England U20s scrum-half Rory Jennings is at half-back with former Wellington College captain Brett Herron making his United debut at 10.
A potent back three of wings Olly Woodburn, Jake Henry and fullback Rich Lane will prove a handful in attack, with the midfield combination of Ben Williams and Max Clark promising power and finesse.
This match is FREE however you will need a ticket.* To secure your tickets you can phone 0844 448 1865 or call into the Ticket Office on Pulteney Bridge or along the Riverside. Both Ticket Offices will be open until 20.00 this evening.
