Bath Rugby notes the Press Release made by the Council relating to a potential transfer of land. Whilst the Club has played no part in this proposal, it welcomes any action which may create additional flexibility for the Club in securing its long term ground objectives.

As the Club made clear in its Press Release of 11 February, it needs to maintain a position of maximum flexibility. In the current financial climate, it is not possible to determine the criteria necessary for securing a viable development, a position which is unlikely to change until the climate improves and which formed the basis of the Club's desire for a two year extension to the East Stand.

We look forward to renewed discussions with the Trustees and the Council regarding the details and terms of such an encouraging proposal.
