Mike Ford

Head Coach

Head Coach Mike Ford joined Bath Rugby in the summer of 2012. Ford's knowledge of the game has been utilised to great success at international level with Ireland, England and the 2005 British and Irish Lions (whose midweek side he coached went unbeaten in New Zealand).

Ford's first Head Coach role in the Premiership was in the 2005/06 season with Saracens, whom he joined after his time as defence coach with Ireland saw the country reach an all-time high of third in the IRB rankings. In 2006, Ford was made defence coach of England, a position he held for almost six years, and a period in which England reached the 2007 World Cup final.

His impressive coaching achievements are matched by his former career as a rugby league player. Ford has represented Great Britain Rugby League and is an inductee in the Castleford Tigers Hall of Fame.
