George Ford joined Bath Rugby in the summer of 2013/14.

In 2011, Ford became the first Englishman –and the youngest nominee– to claim the IRB Young Player of the Year award.

This honour followed two equally laudable feats: at just 18 years of age, Ford was the youngest player to participate at the 2011 Junior World Championship in Italy; in 2009, at 16 years and 237 days old, he became the youngest player to make his professional debut in the English Premiership.

Ford joined Bath Rugby from Leicester Tigers, for whom he made 40 appearances, amassing 253 points and winning both the LV=Cup and the Aviva Premiership. He continued to impress once he'd joined the West Country side, winning multiple Man of the Match awards on the 2013/14 season, as well as the Gilbert Golden Boot and the LV= Young Player of the Year in the summer of 2014.

One of England's hottest prospects at fly-half, he made the first of his international appearances during the 2014 Six Nations Championship.
