Ladies

Welcome To Bath Rugby Ladies. Bath Rugby is considered to have one of the most successful Ladies set ups in the country. First class training facilities and support services allow player development for all ages and levels.

Bath Rugby Ladies was founded in the summer of 2004 as a result of a partnership between the Bath Rugby Community Foundation, the University of Bath and the Bath and North East Somerset Active Leisure team. We aim to give all females an opportunity to participate in rugby within a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment, whilst providing the best facilities and coaching available.

The squad has also benefited from some generous funding from SITEC, Expertees and Sportsmatch, with kit being supplied by Puma to match the men's team.

The ladies started their inaugural season of league rugby (2004/5) in South West Three and after an outstanding season were promoted to South West One for 2005/6. The team has continued to build over this time, and at the end of the 2006/7 season they earned the South West One league title. They now play in Championship One South, and were league winners in 2007/8, 2008/9, and 2010/11.

The squad now trains on a twice weekly basis at Lambridge training ground - normally on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:45 -9pm. Home matches are played on Sundays either at Lambridge (BA1 6BD) or at the Recreation Ground (BA2 4DS) and the Ladies play in the traditional blue, black and white colours of Bath Rugby to match the men's kit.

The Ladies are always looking for new players regardless of experience. Anyone interested in joining should contact Vicky Heslop (Secretary) on 07780 703031 e-mail vicky.heslop@bathrugby.com or Jimmy Deane (Head Coach) on 01225 325200 email jimmy.deane@bathrugby.com.
