Sir Ian McGeechan OBE joined Bath Rugby in 2010 as Director of Rugby.

McGeechan was British & Irish Lions Head Coach in 1989, 1993, 1997 and 2009. He has also coached Scotland, Northampton and Wasps, leaving Wasps in May 2009 to manage what has been widely acknowledged as one of the best Lions tours. As a player he represented Scotland 32 times and toured with the Lions in 1974 and 1977.

Sir Ian's role will see him working on the performance of the squad with the coaches and players. He will also be developing the Bath Rugby Academy structures approach with Academy Director, Danny Grewcock, and Academy Manager, Frank Butler.
