Paul March joined Bath Rugby in April 2009 as Head Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach. Within his first year at the club he was promoted to the first team, and is now Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Prior to this, Paul was in charge of Strength and Conditioning at Hartpury College. Whilst in post, Hartpury won two rugby and two football University Championships, and two rugby EDF Finals.
During that time he was also Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Women's England Sevens World Cup Team. He prepared and worked with the team for 18 months, finishing after the World Cup in Dubai, to start at Bath Rugby.
Other honours with the England 7s included winning the European, Dubai and USA IRB 7s tournaments.
Paul is originally from Nottingham, where he completed a Sports and Exercise Science degree. He is currently working towards his Masters in Strength and Conditioning at Edith Cowan University, Australia.
He moved to New Zealand after getting married to his wife Jill. Here he started working for Manawatu in the New Zealand Provincial Championship. He also worked for the Manawatu Sevens team for two consecutive seasons. He has always had a passion for the 7s game and his impact significantly improved Manawatu's national standings and gave him the opportunity to work one to one with several New Zealand 7s players.
