Paul James named in Wales squad for Six Nations

Bath Rugby prop Paul James was this afternoon named in the 32-man Wales squad for their upcoming RBS 6 Nations Championship campaign.

James’s fellow loosehead prop Gethin Jenkins is also included in the squad, despite picking up a recurring lower leg injury in Cardiff Blues’ recent Heineken Cup match.

Head coach Warren Gatland has named no uncapped players in his squad, as Wales seek to win an unprecedented three Championship titles in a row.

"We have got an opportunity to create history and that is something we will focus on and something that will give us extra motivation,” says Gatland, who recently oversaw the first British and Irish Lions tour victory since 1997. "We have got the three games at home and two tough away games but when we won the Grand Slam in 2008 and 2012 we had these fixtures so we know it can be done.”
