Bath Rugby can now confirm that centre Matt Carraro will leave the Club at the end of the season.
Having joined Bath in the summer of 2009, Matt has made over 60 appearances for Bath, and scored 75 points to date. Strong both in the centre and on the wing, the Australian's tough defence and ability to cut open defences has seen him become a key member of the Bath Rugby back line in the past three seasons.
Speaking about the decision, Matt said: "This was a very hard decision to make but the time has come for me to try a new challenge. I've hugely enjoyed the last three years here at Bath, have worked with some fantastic people and played in front of some great supporters, all of which I will miss. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped and supported me through the years here, and will very much be looking to go out on a high at the end of the season, and will be doing all I can to make sure that happens for the Club."
Sir Ian McGeechan, Director of Rugby, added: "Matt has been a great member of the squad over the last few years, and we will be sad to see him go but understand his decision for doing so. We wish him all the best of luck, and I'm sure that he will give his all in helping us make the rest of the season with Bath a success."
