Bath United team to face London Irish A

Bath United aim to get back to winning ways when they take on London Irish A at Sunbury this evening in the Aviva A League, kick-off 19.30.

Only one change is made to the forwards that started last week against Exeter Braves, with Will Skuse packing down at number eight. He joins fellow back-rowers Carl Fearns at six and Mat Gilbert on the openside. Charlie Ewels and Tom Ellis continue their partnership in the second row as Charlie Beech, Tom Dunn and Kane Palma-Newport scrum down in the front row.

At half-back, Micky Young makes his A League debut for United, partnering Tom Heathcote, who is named at fly-half. In the midfield, the rampaging Ben Williams is at inside centre, with Ludi Hopkinson lining up outside him.

A potent back three sees Gavin Henson at fullback, with Marcus Beer and Saeed Agboke (who scored a brace on debut against the Braves) out wide on the wings.

Although narrowly beaten last Monday, United have won two from three in the Aviva A League this season, with the young players in the squad showing themselves to be increasingly capable of mixing it with the seniors.
