Cook shortlisted for Citizen Try of the Season

15 May 2017

Chris Cook has been named on a six-player shortlist for the Citizen Try of the Season following his memorable try in the 32-30 victory against Northampton Saints in Round 14 of the Aviva Premiership.

The scrum-half, who was deployed on the wing after coming on as a second-half replacement, chased his own chip over the top before using his footballing skills to kick over the try-line and ground the ball for a bonus-point victory.

Cook’s spectacular effort was one of 725 tries scored across the season – the most since the 1999-2000 campaign.
