Following the frustrating defeat to Sale Sharks on Friday night, Bath Rugby would like to say thank you for all the support they had during the game, and in particular those supporters who made the long trip up to Edgeley Park.
Bath Rugby captain, Stuart Hooper, said: "As a team, knowing you have the support of loyal fans behind you throughout a game can really lift you, and we would like to say a huge thank you to all the supporters who travelled up to Sale on Friday night. I'd also like to apologise on behalf of the boys for not showing our appreciation after the game by coming back out to say thanks personally – we were obviously disappointed and frustrated with ourselves after losing a game we felt we were in a position to win, and, whilst no excuse, this was at the forefront of our minds.
"We really appreciate all the support our fans give us, especially in what has been a frustrating season for everyone associated with the Club, and we look forward to seeing as many there as possible on Saturday for our last home game of the season against Wasps."
