It's not long now until Bath Rugby return to the historic Recreation Ground as we prepare to go nose to nose with our old rivals, Bristol Rugby this Saturday 17th August, kick-off 15.00.
There will be no love lost when the two teams meet in what promises to be a full-on encounter as both teams look to consolidate an intense summer of pre-season training.
This match also sees the return of Bath legend Andy Robinson to the Rec. Since taking the reins in February this year, Robinson been busy building a strong squad whose ambition is to dominate the Championship and win promotion back to the Premiership.
Not only does this game have all the makings of a mouth-watering derby match, it will also be your first chance to see the boys hit the paddock in the new home strip. For the 2013/14 season we announced a return to our traditional hooped jersey and, as of this Saturday, they will be ready in store for our supporters, too.
Of course, you can pre-order your shirt right now either at bathrugbyshop.com, by calling 01225 311950, or by popping into the Bath Rugby Shop on Argyle Street.
As you'd expect, limited numbers of tickets remain so make sure you book yours today to avoid missing out. Tickets are priced at £10.00 for Season Ticket Holders and just £15.00 and £5.00 for a standard adult and concession ticket respectively.
You can purchase tickets online, over the phone on 0844 448 1865 or by calling into the Ticket Office on Pulteney Bridge.
Join us for a pre-season party at Southgate!
If an action packed 80 minutes of rugby wasn't enough, why not join the Bath Rugby players as they host a pre-season party at the Southgate Vaults on the morning of the Bristol match.
Between 10.00 and 12.00 on Saturday, you will be able to meet the players, see them model the new 2013/2014 Kit (a sight not to be missed!), and Joules, the Club's new casual wear partner, will be showcasing their new Autumn/Winter collection that is inspired by true British heritage and tradition.
In between the unmissable catwalk displays there will be music, fantastic competitions, face painters and activities courtesy of our friends at The Bath Chronicle and Joules themselves. The Bath Rugby Community team will also be there to keep the kids on their toes, so this really is a party for everyone to enjoy.
The fashion show will be situated outside Graze Bar, Brewery & Chophouse, Bath Ales' flagship restaurant in SouthGate. Their menu has a strong focus on British meat cookery, as well a delicious selection of classic British and European dishes. Pop up to the balcony for a better view of the action, or grab lunch after the show.
In all this promises to be a super morning out for all the family, and the perfect precursor to the monster clash with our old rivals, Bristol, that afternoon at 15.00. You will be able to buy all the Bath Rugby kit and tickets you desire on the day, and you can even cover it all in players' signatures if you choose!
