Bath Rugby were back in the heart of the city last week as they took over SouthGate shopping centre for a day fun and games.
The Community team, ably assisted by Maximus, the leader of Bath Rugby's Junior Membership Club, were on hand to challenge passers-by to Maximus' Hula Hoop challenge, with Sophie Lovett smashing Dave Attwood's time set in the summer and keeping the hoop spinning for a whopping 6 minutes 15 seconds!
Also offering encouragement to those taking part were some of the Bath Rugby squad, with Rec favourites Matt Banahan and Matt Garvey were there to meet supporters, sign autographs and have their pictures taken.
Bath Rugby Foundation ran their Up&Unders programme for the younger children, and the Ticket Office and Shop de-camped for the day to offer a range of goodies to those enjoying their half-term break.
“We had a great time at SouthGate, and it was brilliant to be back in the heart of the city engaging with supporters and visitors to Bath alike” commented Jamie Warren, Marketing Manager.
“It was nice to be able to bring a bit of fun down with us and dodge the showers! Hopefully we’ll be able to get out and about in the local community even more with events like this, as the people of Bath really seemed to enjoy it.”
