Booth and Hatley return from the Yukon River Quest

Bath Rugby's 1st Team Coach, Toby Booth and Forwards Coach, Neal Hatley, have just returned from taking part in the Yukon River Quest. Also known as the "Race to the Midnight Sun", it is one of the toughest and most spectacular paddling races in the world along Canada's most rugged and treacherous waterways.

Toby and Neal have joined forces with Interserve, the international support services and construction group, in order to raise a significant amount of money for Help for Heroes.

Toby Booth said: "Competing in the Yukon River Quest was by far one of the most amazing and challenging experiences I have ever undertaken. It is one of the toughest endurance races in the world and I am really proud to have been a part of that in order to raise a significant amount of money for Help for Heroes.

"The whole team completed the first leg of the race in good time. However Crew 2, after medical checks and advice, were reluctantly forced to pull out of the second leg. Crew 1 took up the mantle, took off and finished in the lowest time for any crew that has not previously competed in the Yukon River Quest.

The team's fundraising efforts do continue over the next two weeks, if you'd like to support then you can donate in two ways, either:

Text YUKN99£ and the amount you want to donate (e.g. YUKN99£5) to 70070.
