Biggs and Eastmond to face Scotland A

Bath Rugby speed men Tom Biggs and Kyle Eastmond have again been named in the England Saxons squad who, this Friday night, take on Scotland A in Newcastle. Both played significant parts in a fantastic win over the Irish Wolfhouds in Galway last week and have been given the responsibility of maintaining the Saxons' momentum.

Last year's encounter saw the English hammered 35-0 in Galashiels, but Head Coach and Bath legend John Callard is confident that won't happen again. Speaking ahead of the clash, he said: "If you don't get it right at international level, sides like this Scotland one will punish you heavily and that's what happened last year. However, we've all learned from that and we're determined to get it absolutely right this time round. We put in a really gritty performance against Ireland last week and to win over there was a deserved reward for all that hard work."

Biggs will be hoping to impress again and to take another step towards the international honours many feel he deserves, while Rugby Union new-boy Eastmond will be keen just to get on the field to show again what he can do, as he continues his stunning acclimatisation to a new code.

From all of us here in Bath, good luck boys!

Allez Bath!!
