Bath Rugby and Jaffa have teamed up to bring back one of rugby’s oldest traditions: the half-time orange.
As the new Official Supplier to the Club, Jaffa will be providing refreshing half-time oranges for the team at every game at the Recreation Ground this season.
They will also be providing orange gumshields for the players, and helping Bath add to the fun and games on a matchday with “Jaffa Zorbing” at half-time.
And that’s not all. Engaging with their local community is high on the priority list for both companies, and Jaffa will also be a sponsor of the brand new Bath Rugby Junior Membership Club, which will cater for ages 0-16. They’ll also work in partnership with the Bath Rugby Community department, providing resources to help the team continue and develop their fantastic work with local schools in the area, whilst promoting the benefits of an active and healthy eating lifestyle.
Shahar Katsir, spokesperson for Jaffa commented on the new partnership: “Bath Rugby already have very strong links with the surrounding communities, and we’re really excited to be working alongside them. The Junior Membership Club and the Community team are both vital and exciting, so we can’t wait to be part of it all.”
Vicki Smith, Marketing and Sales Director at Bath, added: “Jaffa are a well-known, well-respected national brand who still maintain their roots within the community, so they are a perfect fit for the Club. They’ve brought some great ideas with them, and we love the notion of helping kids to eat more healthily.”
