Batty to captain Bath Rugby Legends XI - Game still on

After a pitch inspection this afternoon we are pleased to announce that the Bath Rugby Legends cricket match is on.

The Legends XI will once again be donning their whites to do battle of a slightly different kind tomorrow as they take on Bath Cricket Club in a charity T20 game at North Parade, Bath, starting at 17.45.

Ross Batty will captain the Legends XI as they look to do the double over their cricketing counterparts after a narrow victory last summer, whilst raising money for the Bath Rugby Foundation and BBC Children in Need.

Joining Batty on the teamsheet are new Head Coach Gary Gold, current squad members Matt Banahan, Kyle Eastmond and Stephen Donald, plus Academy boys Joe Buckle and Will Tanner and Bath legends David Trick and Matt Perry.

Last year the game and auction raised over £2000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer with the stumps and helmet going pink in the charity's honour. This year, they'll be covered in spots to link in with BBC Children in Need.

Entry to the game at North Parade is just £3 for adults, and £1 for under 16s. Bath Cricket Club will be running a Kwik Cricket tournament for the youngsters from 16.00, along with a BBQ and bar running from then.
