Bath Rugby Community Foundation received a boost this week with the announcement of a new sponsorship deal with IPL - the Bath based leading IT services company who are also Bath Rugby's main sponsor.
The new investment from IPL and Sportsmatch will fund a year long programme for 30 local Primary Schools in Bath and North East Somerset with over 900 children taking part. Each school will receive a block of 5 weeks of coaching culminating in an end of season festival for the title - IPL Primary School Champions.
John Davey, Operations Director of IPL said: "Bath Rugby Community Foundation provides an exceptional service to young people in the local community. IPL is very pleased to have helped make this new Tag Rugby programme possible, one of the many Community Foundation initiatives taking place in the 2009/10 season. We look forward to following its progress over the coming months.
Jimmy Deane, Community Foundation Manager said " We are delighted to receive the support from IPL and Sportsmatch and the project will mean being able to engage more and more local youngsters in a fun and enjoyable rugby programme."
