The Guildhall in Bath was transformed last night into a little corner of Hollywood as the Bath Rugby Community Foundation held an 'Oscars' night to recognise the achievement of participants in their projects.
Bath Press Office
To advance and assist in education; to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life for those for whom the facilities are provided; to relieve sickness and disability and to preserve and protect health; and to promote any other purpose which is charitable according to English Law.
Through the Foundation we are developing further links with the local community including schools, colleges, universities, local clubs, businesses and the general public. This is being established through rugby coaching, education, confidence building projects and player appearances. Bath Rugby players are heavily involved with the Foundation's work and act as role models to children who come from a variety of backgrounds.
The Foundation is currently working within the local area to assist young people, in particular those who are at risk of becoming socially disruptive and those excluded or potentially excluded from school.
