Bath Rugby : Community : Glitz and Glamour for the Community Foundation 'Oscars'

The Guildhall in Bath was transformed last night into a little corner of Hollywood as the Bath Rugby Community Foundation held an 'Oscars' night to recognise the achievement of participants in their projects.

What a wonderful evening! Emotions flowed and it was very uplifting to watch all the happy faces and the enthusiasm of the children receiving their awards.

Over 200 people watched as the award nominees and winners from ten different categories walked the red carpet. In recognition of their hard work, they all received a medal with a certificate, the winner being handed a rugby trophy. The awards were given by sponsors of the Foundation alongside Matt Perry, one of the Foundation Trustees, Ben Skirving a Bath Rugby first team player and Paralympian Ben Rushgrove.

The evening included entertainment with singing and dancing provided by projects supported by the Community Foundation along with a testimony from a previous participant of Tackling Writing.

The evening was a great way to thank and reward all those involved in making the projects so successful. The hardest part of the process was choosing just a handful of winners from the thousands of fantastic people we are lucky enough to work with every year.

This will definitely become a yearly event for the Foundation!
