When Bath Rugby line up against the Ospreys on Saturday there will be one player particular who will be wearing his Bath jersey for the first time and raring to get onto the pitch.
Luke Watson joined Bath Rugby from Western Province last weekend and since his arrival has not only been very vocal about how keen he was to get a run out, but he is already convinced that Bath are just inches away from getting wins under their belts.
"I am definitely raring to get on," admitted Luke. "I think the team have played some phenomenal rugby this season and some of the best rugby of the Guinness Premiership as well - but we have been very unlucky.
"If we had gained one or two points here and there, we would be right at the top of the log. I am really looking forward to getting out there in front of a full stand."
Whilst Bath may be an unfamiliar city to Luke, some of the Bath boys are not. And fellow South African Butch James in particular is more familiar to him than most might realise.
"I was actually housemates with Butch James in Durban for a year. But I also played for a season or two with Pieter Dixon in Western Province.
"I knew a lot about the rugby here at Bath. I knew it was a beautiful place and that the side was a successful side and played a lot of expansive, creative running brand of rugby.
"They are a great bunch of guys here - very friendly - and the atmosphere is such that it makes you feel at home straight away."
Don't miss your chance to see Luke take to the pitch. A few tickets are still available for this game from £10 for juniors, students and those 65+ and from £21 for adults.
