Two of Bath Rugby’s Academy players have been awarded contracts, as the club continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing players of the future.
Nineteen-year-old Nathan Catt has extended his current deal from the end of the season to May 2009. The tighthead prop played for England U19s in a victory over their Italian counterparts in January.
Meanwhile, Mark Lilley, who is also 19 and plays at hooker or loosehead prop, has signed his first contract, which will run from June 2007 to the end of May 2009. Lilley recently trained with England U20s as they prepared for the U21 Six Nations tournament.
