Graham Dawe

Born in Plymouth Graham Dawe was one of the unsung heroes of Bath's 'Golden Era' during the 1980s and 90s. A fierce competitor at all times 'Dawsie', who used to undertake the 300 mile round trip from his farm in Devon to train and play for the club, was one one of the game's true hard men.

A hooker of considerable talent, the tales of his personal battle with Brian Moore for the England position is the stuff of legends. His five cap haul between 1987 and 1995 does belies a player who played at the highest level during an era when replacements were not permitted unless a player came off injured. Indeed he sat on the bench more than thirty times for his country.

Now head coach at ambitious National League One side Plymouth Albion, Dawsie is still playing at the tender age of 46 and is every inch the competitor that he was in the blue, black and white of Bath.
