Bath Rugby Community Foundation Introduction
The Community programme at Bath Rugby began in May 2001 with a part-time Community Officer at the club.  Over time the programme has grown to include three full time members of staff and has now gained charitable status (Charity No. 1101868) and delivers a large number of programmes, predominantly sport based.  We cover an area reaching B&NES, Wiltshire and parts of Somerset.

The Trustees of the Foundation are:

Bob Calleja, Chief Executive of Bath Rugby

David Medlock, Managing Director of Sitec

Richard Seaman, MD of H Seaman & Son

Matthew Perry, Bath Rugby first team player and still Englands most capped full back

Through the Foundation we are developing further links with the local community including schools, colleges, universities, local clubs, businesses and the general public.  This is being established through Tag Rugby coaching, education, confidence building projects and player appearances.  Bath Rugby players are heavily involved with the Foundation’s work and act as role models to children who come from a variety of backgrounds.

The Foundation is currently working within the local area to assist young people, in particular those who are at risk of becoming socially disruptive and those excluded or potentially excluded from school
